The Foundation Board holds quarterly meetings in February, May, August and November of each year. In order for your organization to submit a grant proposal, the Foundation will first require that your organization complete and submit the attached Initial Inquiry Form.

Initial Inquiries may be submitted at any time during the year and will be considered at the next regularly scheduled quarterly meeting (as long as they are received no later than the last day of the month preceding the next scheduled meeting). If the Board determines that an Inquiry falls within the stated mission of the Foundation, the organization will receive a Formal Application which it must complete and submit to the Foundation Office no later than the assigned deadline. If the Board determines that an Inquiry does not fall within the stated mission of the Foundation, a notice of declination will be sent to the organization.

All Formal Applications timely received will be reviewed at the next regularly scheduled quarterly meeting. If the Board determines that a grant will be awarded based upon the Formal Application submitted, grant forms will be forwarded to the organization for completion prior to disbursement of the grant funds. If the Board does not make a determination on the first review of a Formal Application, the organization may be contacted to supply additional information for review at the next quarterly meeting. On the contrary, if the Board determines that the Formal Application will be declined, a notice of declination will be sent to the organization. Every effort will be made to provide notices of award or declination within two weeks of the quarterly meeting.

The Board may, at its discretion, consider emergency requests as they occur.

When returning the completed Initial Inquiry form, please be sure to attach currently dated written confirmation from the IRS of the exempt status of your organization.
